Some of our boxes have a sealed finished. This means a coating has been applied to seal up the wood. These boxes are not easily painted to stained without first removing the coating. We have several box options available in a "natural" finish. This means you can paint or stain the boxes to your liking very easily and seal the wood with whatever finish you would like.
